All Star Baseball 2004 unable to backup
This is the first game I have had trouble with. I have a executer 2.0 pro chip. evox dash. The game will not boot from the HD, which is where I play all my games from, nor will a backup copy boot. I tried turning all three in game resets to off, as suggested as a fix to another game with similiar problems but it didn't work.
Anyone else tried to back this game up, or does anyone know if there is a patch for it.? |
did you download the game of back up it from the original?
if it is the latter it sounds like a few of the files could have got corrupted while getting them off your xbox or theres a finally got a game which is anti mod |
origional
Yes Its from an origional. I Guess It could be a corrupted file but I have installed it to the hd now several times. ( Cleaned the cd before each one). I also copied the files to my pc, made the iso and burnt a backup several times but that won't boot either.
When I try and boot from the HD it basically reboots the system and goes back to the evolx screen. |
Problem solved
Found a crack for it in alt.binaries.cd.image.xbox
The crack was a new default.xbe file to make it work from the hd as well as a ppf file to patch the image. I havn't reburned yet so not sure if the ppf patch works but I copied the xbe file over and it now boots from the drive which is all I wanted anyway. :) |
i had the same problem with the lastest version of windows media player..so i just use an older version of it now
but looks like we are going to need cracks in the near future |
Patch
I can't find that patch. Any chance I can get it from you?
I have giganews which has awesome retention and I just don't see a patch for it. Thanks |
i've had back-up problems with this also. Is thier a patch that will work for the game to be backed on dvd or is just for the HD.
If so where can I get the Patch. |
ok I found the patch but what engine do you use for the X-box and how do you do it?
|
this game will not backup right
it willnot back up right because the files in the default.xbe change when ever u are ready to burn it....u have to fix this with a program that will be coming out in the near future...acually like later on today....so u no guys i will post back with the results.....
|
the programmme you want is now out. its called XBEpatcher.exe
use it to patch the default.xbe file on those games which need it. it is realy simple to use. |

Patch
Sorry I havn't looked back and replied to the thread in a while. The patch file I found was named r-asbk2c.zip. I believe it was released by riot, but works also when your trying to back up your store bought game. Inside is a default.xbe file and a raskb2c.ppf file. I copied the default.xbe file over to my hardrive and was able to boot fine from the drive after that. I then backed up the game the normal way and applied the ppf patch to the iso before i burned it and that worked also. I used xbox iso to make the iso and ppf-o-matic to apply the patch. I will send the patch zip to the people at gamecopyworld if I can find a link for where to do that and hopefully they will add it to the xbox patch section.
