Naplink Prolific

Hi... I wounder some things about naplink...

In the readme it tells me i need a Prolific PL-2301 or PL-2302 USB to USB cable... But where the hell do i find this cable? i've searched for it, but i can't find anyone that sells it... and around how much does it cost?

I want to be able to copy and move files on the PS2 memory card to and from my computer, and delete files from the memory card as well, and i know i can do that with the napalm naplink and napalm nPort programs (combined)...

is there a better method than naplink? what about sharkport? what can the sharkport do?

thanx for all help!

I imagine that any usb to usb cable will work. USB is a standard, its not like there are different sizes of ports or anything. THey probably just said that because a) They own prolific as well b) Same company or c) They have some sort of benefits for metioning them.

As for the better programs, I couldn't tell you. The only data transmissiopn device i have is the dexdrive, which is rather out dated.

Ok... jea, i hope any usb-usb cable will work... BUT, there is a big diffrent between a ordinary usb-usb CABLE and a prolific one, because the prolific has a chip in it, and is made for connecting 2 computers WITH prolific drivers...

has anyone tested a ordinary cable, without any chip? or does anyone know where to buy a prolific and how much it costs?

do you have the ps2 network adaptor? there is a naplink program out that lets you use ethernet insted of USB. its called pukklink.

no, im afraid i don't have the network adapter...

ain't there any client that uses a ordinary cable, or a ordninary usb network device for PC ?

what about sharkport? can i download, upload and delete files on the memory card with that? and where do i buy it?
