audio cd wont work
 

i have tried playing them back in about three different home and car cd players all of them quite new and they still wont work

Try using a different cd brand. I have used Verbatim, Imation, TDK and some white label crap with no problems whatsoever.
Maybe you are burning them wrong? Make sure to pick the Audio Template if burning with nero.
Looking at your post, it was quite pointless, as you gave no info as to how you burnt the cds, what you burnt them onto and so forth. Info please.

Sometime's is it possible if you burn at a lower speed the cd's will play. ;)
