Bigboss has finally revealed a nice hidden feature in the ps2reality mediaplayer to allow MP3 playback. At the main menu simply press L1,L2,R2,R1 and then load your favorite MP3s. Afterwards simply press up and down to toggle through the filelist then X to play the song. You can also press R2 to go to automatically play the next song

Oh and it even makes you cups of coffee if you press Select, Start and R1

This has been confirmed by me but I would like to add that you need the latest version of the PS2 Reality media player. I had the first beta release 1.0 but now there is a beta version 1.25. It wouldn't work on the first release. You can also put your mp3's on a seperate disc and swap it after you do the L1, L2, R2, R1 code at the main menu.

I have gotten all the divx movies I have to play successfully and now my mp3 discs. What a great little program. Now us guys that want to keep our Messiah 2's and not get the DMS3 have a way to play mp3s. You can get the newest version of the media player here.

can u help i cant get my mp3s to play i do the l1,l2,r2,r1 thing it comes up mp3 player next to the word select ipush select just comes up reality player and back to main menu mp3s wont play please help

orion731 i was jus reading that u got ur divx movies to work. i was woundering how u put them on a cd(convert them). can u reply or pm me ASAP.

i got DVD Decrypter for riping movies and dvdx for burning them but i cant get the reality player to load on my ps2 i dont know if it only works with no swap mods or any kinda mods just look through my post for links to get these tools

I did read somewhere that the PS2 reality media player doesn't work with a no solder chip. I could be wrong. I don't have any way to test this because I don't have immediate access to a no solder.

Are you swaping the disc before you try to access the mp3 player portion of the media player? I swap the disc first and it has gave me good results. I've never tried to burn the mp3s on the disc with the media player on it but I suppose that it would work.

have tryed both before and after with no luck how do i burn the mp3s to the disc as the disc im trying is my brothers he burnt them using adaptic just draging and droping to disc then closeing disc do i need to reburn it ?

it doesn't and won't work like that, the way i did it was, with recordnow max, click on orion 731's link to get the files you need (cheerz by the way orion), then i extracted the three files from the bin file, then with recordnow max i made a data disc, dvd in my case, click add file, add the three files from the bin, then add any divx or mp3 to the disc, either in directories or not, I put 7 full length divx movies and over 200 mp3's on, then click create cd, the it should work

im soon getting a ps2 system with apple no solder mod installed so i can wait till then to try ps2 reality i sold my v6 with no solder for a v7 ps2 +90$ :) that will make me with 5 v7 ps2:) 3 = sold im not to worried about the mp3 player part i got a car mp3 player and i use that the most but the movies would be nice to have working. what reslation settings u guys useing on the movies to have good pitcure and sound and not take up to much space
