U will need 2 Programs. The first one is a detection-proggie like "Detect" or "Clony_XL" and then u need CloneCD to make a backup.
Use the detection-prog to scan the CD´s for a copy-protection, if you find one look at the description what settings you have make in clone cd.
CloneCD writes in RAW-Mode that means it copy the CD like the original, so you often need no crack for the game. In some cases you still need a crack from "Gamecopyworld" or "Megagames" for copy-protections like Safedisk V2.

Correct to a degree.

It's hard to give advice on what programs etc to use without knowing your burner make and model.
Writing in RAW mode requires a compatible burner, with a RAW-DAO mode the only way to be sure of success and to copy diablo2 (which is protected by securom2) requires a burner capable of sub-channel writing.

So, in summary, YES get clonyXL and CLONECD, but check first that your burner will be comaptible with CloneCD.
Also, Securom2 which protects Diablo2 will require a sub-channel data writing burner AND to be run from a cdrom, as it will check to see if a cdr or pressed original is used.

safedisc2 is another matter, and requires a highly specific burner, of which there are only a handful.
