Burning SafeDisk Images
As far as I know, if your cd burner cannot support Safedisk 2 you need to emulate the image to get it to work.
Now, I have heard of alcohol 120% which claims it can get past protections, including safedisk v2 and others. My quesition is: If I use this program to burn a safedisk 2 image to a cd, and it dosent work. Will I still be able to make an image off that just burned cd and emulate it to get past safedisk 2? Or does it have to be the original image? Also, is there a list anywhere of which DVD and/or CD-RW drives can and cannot read/write safedisk? Thank you for your time. |
Hi Cyber Akuma, I think you should read VLuka's FAQ about duplicating different copy protections and then visit http://www.elby.ch/english/products/...writers/a.html , a compatibility list between CloneCD and different CD-writers. (Yes, this is not directly related to Alcohol 120% but it is related to copying CD's anyway). Good luck,
Joe P.S.: Ohhh, see http://198.104.146.49/showthread.php?threadid=46330 , too. |
Well, Thanks, that answered my CD compability question
Nowever that still didnt answer my Alcohol burning question. Anyone? |
Ok, I am thinking of just buying a CDRW drive that can burn SafeDisk2, all the programs that emulate safedisk make me either run the image off my hd (I dont have a lot of freespace), patch the image then run the program that patched it to get past it (therefore limiting the game to only be playable using that one program) and all the exe unwrappers didnt work.
Is the ASUS CRW-5224A a good choice? It has two sheep in that Clone CD list, that means SafeDisk will be copyable right? Any proglems/limitations of this drive anybody knows about? |
You should be able to get alot of opinions in the official alcohol forum or maybe even

CyberAkuma:
It seems these burner will do the thing. I have never tested these ASUS-Burner, but i wasn't happy with my ASUS CRW-2010A. It was broke after only 1 year. I suggest the LiteOn 32123S. I never had any problems with these burner !!! |
