Pinnacle Studio Dx...should i or shouldnt i?
Ok here's the deal.. in my work place they got Pinnacle Studio Delux PCI (Video thinngy).. i have given them some avi's which i want encoded to S/vcd's... which they say it can do in the blink on an eye compared to lets say some software prog's, but the bums are being slow about it....
...I do this stuff alot my self and it takes time and patience(As well as trail and error)! Now i wanna know is it worth me getting one my self.. i mean am i likely to run into probs with DivX > Mpg or any other codec video/audio probs using it? And (this one V-V-V-V.important) can it also slash the time it take of re-encoding DVD's that wont fit on DVD-R's May your big brains be blessed if you can help me out with this one or its a shop hop down tottenham court road :p PIII 800 803sdram :( Pioneer 105 DVR IBM 80gig (and not enough) |
I have the Pinnacle DV500 at work and I never really got a chance to get into Svcd's because I was waiting to buy a new DVD player... But I think you are better off sticking with vcdhelp.com or whatever that site is. To my knowledge the Pinnacle won't make it any faster. The only thing I use my DV500 for is exporting to VHS tape for my animations to give to clients. Just got my DVD-r so I will be testing that stuff out. Do you have a Digital video camera? With the pinnacle you can import directly if it has Firewire, but at home I just went an bought a firewire port. And then I use Adobe premiere 6.5 to edit, cut, etc,,etc,,
I mean if they are taking their sweet old time getting you the stuff then you are probably better off on your own. Hope that helps. |
