pal to ntsc
 

will a pal game work on my ntsc ps2? if not is there anyway to make a pal game work on a ntsc ps2.

the cheapest way to do it is to patch it.
you can also purchase a pal/ntsc converter
or there are some TVs that can support both 50 and 60hz signals

will that guide also work for ps2 dvd pal games? or could I use a program called NTSCONV?

depending on which version PS2 you have there is a link u can apply to the motherboard which will force the PS2 to play all games in colour.
