Magic 3.1 Question
 

I wanted to know if the installation procedures for the Magic 3.1 chip is the same for the 3.0, I wanted to replace the 3.0 for 3.1 in my friends PS2 which is also a v7 and the diagrams I saw in the Internet are the same, Does anyone know if is the same procedure because I heard that the 3.1 could be switched on or off so I would imagine something must be installed different or is this done automatically by the chip. Thanks in advance

The installations are exactly the same.
