IMBnes

I can't seem to get this emulator to run on my PS2. Instructions at their site say the only files you need on the disc are the rombank file you create, psx.exe and, nes.exe. Found on the ps2newz forum that someone had said you need to use the supplied software with the emulator to create an iso file. tried both ways. Does anybody have any suggestions?

try this

create a system.cnf file to read the following:

BOOT = cdrom:\NES.EXE;1
TCB = 4
EVENT = 10
STACK = 801FFFF0

then re-burn & include this amongst the files rombank.bin & nes.exe

(to create start a notepad session, input the above and save as "system.cnf")

should work fine

Then of-course there is the issue of the rom menu not being visible (black screen), you need to note down where you have stored the roms to blindly input the rom codes. If you have played this on PSX you will know what I mean.

Check out the boys over at http://imbnes.gamebase.ca/ for more info :)

Have you tried it on a regular moded ps1?
Boot it on your ps2 like you would boot a regular ps1 game.

I have gotten as far as they say you can with this emulator. When the game loads it comes up as a screen with green bars and you load your games from there, without seeing anything. This is a pain. Are there any other nes emulators for playstation?

no, IMBNES is the best

do you have a modded PSX ? it works fine running from that console.

No i don't have a modded psx. I have tried looking for other emulators and this appeared to be the only one for nes. If there is any other I would be willing to scrifice a little quality for something I can use.
