Xbox and dvd movies
 

hello,
I have an un mod-chipped X-box with no mods yet, I have the dvd playback kit and it plays most dvds fine but some do not play as they are unrecognised, I am planning to get a mod-chip but not for a while, These discs are brand new with no scratches. Why dont they play???

what region are the dvds?

i know when you insert the dvd dongle key whatever region that is set to your x box will perminatley only play dvds from that region

i believe u need a modded xbox with dvdx to play region dvds

I think the dvd's that Tank is talking about is his region.

i say take qualls advice and try them on another dvd player...

well if it is his region
then he should just tyr it on a
dvd player that was made where he is...
or another one from the one he used

okay, all dvds in western australia are region 4 and most of them work in the xbox, however some of them dont and the ones that dont play fine in my pionneer dvd player, thanks

not exactly sure what the problem is then..does it complain about anything when you put them in your x box?

just gettin an x2 lite
then gettin dvdx on it
and use it from there
