please help backup imports of ps1 games work ok.but dvd film backups only work in black and white.plus some back up ps2 games on cdr also play black and white and help please

Have u got PAL PS2? cos it suspiciously sounds like u trying to play NTSC games and dvd's on a pal machine and tv.

If this the case then there is a complicated solution:

u need to get rid of the composite scart lead that comes with the PS2 and get a Euroscart component scart lead. This will solve the problem with the games coming out in black and white but all yr DVD's will come out in black and green ( a little piracy protection that sony added).

To get rid of this u can fit a link on your motherboard that turns the green back to colour ( if u have a messssiah or messiah 2 fitted then the fitter might have already put the link in)

U can also buy an NTSC to pal converter box or buy an NTSC compatible TV.

I suspect that your ps1 Import games have been patched with an NTSC to PAL converter which is why u don't have the problem there.

have tried new scart lead but everything goes green.also have got dvd backups onto cdr ps2 games. black and white with composite lead and everything is green with new scart please help

Yeah, as I said it will give u green screen with dvd. The solution is to apply a link to yr motherboard which gets rid of the green screen and gets u back to colour.

Have a look at messiah/messiah 2 installation instuctions on the net and it'll tell u where the link goes.

I thought that as u have had ur PS2 modded it might have already had the link in. When I mod a PS2 I put the link in as a matter of course.
