backup trouble
 

I have a v3 ps2 with a magic 3.1 and am trying to get backup dvd games to work.i have tried several brands of media(verbatim, imation, and fujifilm) with no luck.cd games work great can abyone help me with this problem?. the imation actually started the game a couple of times but froze up before getting through the opening splash screens.

Since you have an old v3, your laser could be on the way out. Try a laser cleaner disc first.

yeah, good advice. Also try using a dvdr brand with darker burn surface like traxdata or dvdmaster.

u could also try recalibrating your laser CAREFULLY. See megagames for how to do it.but it only a temporary solution and will probably reduce yr laser lifespan.

finally, get a new laser and yr problems will be solved.
