Cendyne and Backup
 

Recently got my Cendyne 4x DVD-R and before I make a bunch of coasters I have a couple of questions.

1. Can I PRACTICE on DVD-RW and assume that all of the settings are the same assuming I use the same brand.....Verbatim...etc..etc

2. Is the method for backing up PS2 games the same for movies....ie...SHould I build a global image with RecordnowMax using the tutorial in the PS2 forum..... If I can get the image onto my hard drive then I have accomplished half the battle???

Reason for this question is that I have a buddy who purchased a HP200j or something like that and He can't backup anything...Could be the burner I am assuming...

3. Princo white label for Movies......and Verbatim for other???

Yes you can practice with dvd-rw.
Follow the RecordNow Max tutorial for PS2 games. If your signature is updated and you still have an sbox mod, your PS2 backups won't work and possibly not even your dvd movie backups since you have an old v1. Princo white labels are good for movies. Verbatim are great but too expensive. Get some Ritek dvdr....cheap and work flawlessly.

Cant comment on your writer I have a Sony DRU - 500a. Using Record now Max Global Image method and Infinity DVD - R, I have made several succesful PS2 back ups since buying the drive 2 weeks ago. I also use a Massiah 2 chipped PS. Only coaster was by using Nero and if you try Prassi Primo it wont recognise your writer!

it see's mine and i got the same one! I got the a05!

I have the CenDyne 105 and primo works with it, but as Big and BG have said in other post's not all 105 drives work with Primo.
For movies dvdxcopy is great.As Big said Riteks rock for the price,load and play just as good as the Verbs I use to buy, but half the price.
