back up problem with m2

To charlie or any experts,

I have U.S v5 with messiah2 and I am having problem in booting backup games. the ps2 recognized the cd and it goes on the ps2 logo then it goes black screen, some of the games goes to start screen but then hanged, one of the game just say "loading" with background picture of the games but stop responding. I have other back up with different brand and works fine. Do you think i need to calibrate my laser or weak? or is more of a cd media problem? thanks in advance...

It is odd that it would have trouble reading CD Media. Are you sure that they are not DVD? If so and you have other DVD backups then it is probably a media issue.

that is my other problem i have to find out if they are dvd media and I don't have other dvd back up, but even if they are dvd, i should have no problem in booting them, right?. I just dont know if it helps the cd's has purple color(bottom part).

Purple means it is a dvd. You should be able to boot these no problem. Do you have any other backups that you didn't buy that are on different media?

is the media branded?
it must be real **** media v5 normally read anything

I don't think it's branded coz' it has white on top, and now i know they're dvd. The problem is I don't have any other dvd r to test with, Do you think it's the m2 installation problem or laser calibration/weak problem or media problem?hmmm, any advice will be appreciated.....

Sounds like media to me.

Unbranded. White top. Hmmm, sounds like the sh*tty Princo's.

You said yourself that you have working backups on different media. Buy some better disks, and I predict your problems disappear. I suggest Ritek DVD-R's.
