which chip would you recommend me, the messiah 2 or should i buy a sniper chip?

Yes. It is possible to install a Messiah 2 in place of your NEO.....

Where are you located.....?

You can order the Messiah 2 from Dust2Dust or Charlie_PS2....(Which is who I would rec you get the chip from)
If your in the UK, Dust2Dust can do the install also...
If your in the US, send your PS2 along with the chip to BILL @ Freedomlives.com and let him do the install.....

I have a v5 ps2, and i am using the neo chip for a half year.

You should be fine with a Messiah 2. You haven't had the Neo long enough for it to do too much damage to your laser.
