i have heard of ff7 remake for ps2 does anybody know something else???

If they were to ever remake a FF game it would undoubtly be FF 7 but I don't think they are gonna remake it.

Even if they did, what could they add to make the game worth buying if you already have the original?

They are redoing FF1 and FF2 from the NES days. It is already out in Japan coming to the US in April. It will have updated graphics to nearly 16 bit quality and CG cutscenes. It will also have an art gallery and a so called "beastiary" where players can read up on various monsters who appear in both games.
