Probably, would help if you mentioned if you do have ASPI installed, and if yes which version.

If you have ASPI installed, you could check whether it is installed properly with a utility like aspichck.

If you dont have any ASPI layer installed, i would suggest installing version 4.60

i have the aspii

i have the latest version of aspii
i had the 4.7 old one
tried clony, crashed, said error with aspii
updated aspii, still crashed
what would conflict with clony and aspii?
would any thing like udf reader affect it?
i had that installed, but deleted it, still have problems tho

Hemispasm 13-02-2003 00:31

It would be wiser to use ASPI v4.60, as the latest ASPI have been reported to be buggy.

ok then

so i just uninstall the 4.7's and go to 4.6
to fix it?

4.6 hasnt been recommended much for 2000 though
you sure it will work?

also doesnt the roxio/udf drivers have conflicts with the aspii?
(i read that somewhere)
i had that installed at one time, and dont know if its causing problems

I have not heard anything about an issue between Win2000 and ASPI4.60, but if you have, it would be wise to name the source.

Generally speaking, you do not need an ASPI layer, as Win do have their own, as Nero also does (winaspi32.dll). But Clony unfortunately does require ASPI to work.

I am not aware of any issue between Adaptec's ASPIs and Roxio's drivers, although the latter have sown to create a lot of conflicts in the past ;)

You can try the corresponding CDFreaks forum too if you are a bit relactant
