Patch question
Hi,
I download a patch containing a .ppf and .diz. What do I need to do with the file_id.diz ? Will it be enough to just patch the .ppf Thanks, Sony |
.diz file is a text file, such as .nfo. Open it with NotePad.
All you need is : 1) your image 2) your patch (PPF format) 3) a patch program (you can find it on DC Copy World). |
Hi Megalexxx,
I only have the CDR. What is the best way to create the image from the CDR that is compatible with the patch. Unfortunately, the .diz does not tell me what image file type the patch is expected. Thanks for you help !!! Sony |
Unless you have a NFO file with your patch, specifying on wich image it should be applied, I doubt you can guess what it originaly was. Sometimes, there's some text in PPF files. You can read it with some tools here :
http://www.megagames.com/dc/dc_ppf.shtml Otherwise, if you've got a non boot game, try making an image with CDRWin. If it's a selfboot game, use DJ. See what's happening when you patch it. |
