Copy protection On "The Getaway"
 

I have a plug n play chip in my ps2 and use the magic swap disc to boot dvd-r backups. I have many games that have copied and they worked find. I have justed copied The Getaway game and it burned find. I used ritek dvd-r at 1x speed using easy cd creater 5 basic with my pioneer dvd-rw 105. The game booted fine but as you play through the game, it fades out and freezes up sometimes on the video parts. I read some where that they is a new copy protection that just came out for ps2 games and that why the game fades out and freezes. I want to know if there is patches out there to fix the problem and what programs do i need to use. I tried the game on my friend's ps2 and it did the same thing and he has the magic 3 chip. I also has problems tring to copy Socom Us Navy and Mortal kombat Deadly Alliance. I want to know if they are copy protected too.

Try RecordNow max instead of easy cd creator for dvd games and use CloneCd for cd games.

What it sounds like is "FADE" protection.......

BUT...... "Fade" protection only applies to dvd-rips (aka dvd games burned to cd-r).....

A direct 1:1 copy of the mentined games using recordnow max works perfectly.....

I made a back-up of this game with a 105\primo and it plays great.

thats probably ur problem easy cd creator, try primo or recordnow max, ive done this game with no probs with primo all so, played and completed with no probs at all

can u please give me some advices to backup Mortal kombat deadly alliance ?

I have a patched PS2 and i used Primo DVD to copy the game....but when i put tdh dvd-r backup on the ps2 the loading stops after the "loading" messages appears.......(the one with the dragon icon )

where can be the mistake ?????

can u please expain how did u do ?

maybe some Primo DVD settings must be changed ?

What type of media are you using?

Usually when a game "hangs" in the middle of loading, its media related......

PS2 messiah2 patched

Princo DVD-R

Try using a different brand of DVD-R.....

Princos can give problems.....(I used to use them also)

Try Ritek DVD-R's..... Myself, and ALOT of members of this forum, use them and LOVE them.... They work PERFECTLY......

same prob happend to me
 

my mk deadly allince did same as his i used both record now and primo dvd neather would make a image file so i had to use nero and it copied and when it load it locked up same spot as that dudes and mad a load audio noise like when u put burnt cdr-s in to cd players that wont play cdr music i burnt it on ritek dvd-r at 1x

Burnt it perfectly using PrimoDVD and Pioneer 104 onto traxdata 1X dvd-r. Works perfectly every time. Also my m8 did it using primo and pioneer104 onto a dvdmaster 2X and that also works 100%.

I got the Getaway working fine now, after using record now max. Thanks for all the help people.

Told you Easy Cd sucks. Stick with RecordNow Max.:)
