problem Time stalkers with pal dc's RGB fix
 

Hello All members,

I have a repack of the kalisto's release of this game (11 files set)

It doesn't work on pal dc's
The patch found on megagames work only on the original kalisto release.

So palpatcher doesn't work with it too.

I need an RGB fix for it, don't know if it's possible?

Give some info about that repack. Which Image-type? CDI, BIN, Nrg? Is it's selfbootable or not?

it's a non selfbooting version,

it's an nero (nrg) file. I think it's a repack of the original kalisto release but not the pal release.

I have 10 files of 14 649 ko.

The nrg file is about 268 MO.

That game is a pain in the ass for pal users.. mine also didn't work at all even when patched... for example the original us ver doesn't even work with DC-X boot CD on a PAL DC.

Anyway maybe try to find a .ppf rgb fix for the game on megagames.

i have made a bin image of the non pal version (1 session) with cdrwin and apply the kalisto patch on it, and it works good!!

I think it would be useful for some others pal dc's owners.

If you have no time to spend to rebuild an "original" image, this is how you can apply Kalisto's patch :
_ look for
03 89 03 88 05 89 0A A0 09 00 00 E5 02 E6 03 A0
_ Replace it by
07 89 03 88 05 89 0A A0 09 00 00 E5 02 E6 03 A0

(only 1st byte changes)

okay, I hex-edited my image and I get garbled display :(

I can see the sega logo, but there are 2 of them and all scrambled. Then it goes loading and I see a scrambled menu screen.

Anyone else had this problem?

OK, i tried my antenna cable and then the game works fine :confused:

So, does anyone know what is wrong with the scart patch?

I fixed it myself, I followed the advice of scarfac33 and applied the kalisto patch, now it works perfect.

So there must be something wrong with your code Megalexxx...

Please, send me both patched and unpatched 1st_read.bin's.
