Best burning software?

What is the best DVD burning software for Xbox games, and DVDs in general?

Quall999 03-02-2003 13:29

From my understanding, most people use PrimoDVD, Record Now, and nero.

My vote is for RecordNow MAX, no need to make an ISO. Just a data disk.

yeah my personal favorite has to be recordnowmax 4.50, i have and do use all the software you mentioned for different applications. i find i get better results with recordnowmax using the DATA BURN method:D

Where did you get 4.5? Or did it come with your burner? I only got 3.0 :(

dude 04-02-2003 05:22

you can get a 30 day trial version from
the official website

rms2001 04-02-2003 05:51

Ya I know. 3.0 seems to work fine witch is why I didnt buy 4.5.
I think 4.5 comes with Sony's DRU-500A, so if I can track one of thoes burners I'll be set with 4.5.

Thats the burner I got. When it comes i will see if I get 4,5 as well.

Porkchops 04-02-2003 13:43

The DRU500A comes with RecordNow, but I'm not sure if it's 3.0 or 4.5 (it's the burner I bought, I'll check when I get home from work).

So, the trick is to use the Data burn method, rather than duplicate a DVD? I haven't had a chance to mess with it yet, I Just barely got it installed before I had to run to work, popped in a DVD and was told "Can't copy this due to copy protection" or something, but that was on the "Make a Copy of a DVD option".

So what's the best method of copying a game/movie? Copy files manually to the HD then create a data disk?

if you register, don't they offer free upgrades?
