If i was to buy gameshark 2 to boot up my backup games would i need to buy the gameshark package for $39.95 or could I just buy the gameshark disc to boot up the games.

Thought gameshark came with its own memory card??

I know that u can get game shark lite that uses a PS2 memory card.

That should b ok for booting backups

Games booting behind a gameshark are much more reliable than a swap magic. Plus you can't use cheats with a swap magic:)

I am not going to get in another argument. We have had far too many of these lately on fileforums.

I backed up "GTA4" tonight using my DVD burner and RecordNOW Max - the backup process passed without any problems.

But I can't boot the game with my Gameshark2 - is there anything special I need to do???

Have a look at the boot procedures for all mod chips here

Forget it - I'm dumb - I thought that JUST a Gameshark2 would be enough in order to play the backups.

I didn't realize that I STILL need a modchip.

Seemed to easy! :-(
