I searched the past posts and could not find the answer so please excuse the question I am sure has been repeated several times!
What are the best media types currently for PS2 CD and DVD backups? Thanks!

Verbatim is the best of all media... it's quality speaks for itself.. although you pay for this type of quality..

Verbatim is a great media but in my thoughts not worth the cash. When riteks work flawlessly and are a very durable media. You can get them here

Or here

Be careful of Verbatim as they do dark purple and silvery purple dvd-r's, both at crazy high prices.

I ended up with silvery purple ones and my A-04 couldn't even burn them without bugging out in mid burn (only media ever to fail in about 200 sucessful burns), they were that bad. And the ones that were sucessful the PS2 didn't like.

Traxdata or DVDMaster are about a third of the price, use exactly the right colour burn surface for PS2 to read and have a 100% sucess rate with me.

Having said that, any dvd-r with a plum colour write surface should be okay but always best to use the tried and tested!!!

Good luck!!
