should i get the premod x-ecuter 2 lite or pro
i just want to have the best and also have the no problems with the x box live update problem

I personally will probably update to the x-ecuter 2 lite. It's cheaper and comes preflashed. Besides, the only reason I'm gonna get it is because it has bios that won't conflict with xbox live when I turn the chip off. I know other chips can do this if I were to flash newer bios onto them, but I really don't want to deal with that.

why the lite but not the pro

The best resson to choose the lite is you don't have to flash it. But you still need to install a switch for xbox live. You can get a pcbioxx for less and not have to worry about a switch, just turn the console on with the eject button.

I have seen premods as low as $265. That was with an aladdin chip. I just ordered 10 of them. They are flash upgradable through software just like the x2 lite. Or you could get a pcbioxx and install it yourself. Flashin the chips is not a big problem.

well, they said that they personally test all xbox's modded with the pro chip for 6 hours before they ship out. In order for them to test it, it needs bios. So it probably is pre-flashed. Question is, with what bios? If it isn't a ybox or bios that boot differently, then there really isn't a point in getting the pro unless you can re-flash it yourself.

These problems(the x box live update) you are talking about doesn't affect the x2 mod chips, one of the major reasons these new chips where made where because of xbox live, the x2 mod chips do this

mean, you call evox (evoxdash.xbe) and ms dash (xboxdash.xbe) so when you run the update for xbox live, it works fine and doesn't mess up evox or nexgen for the matter. This is due to the new x2 bios.. :) Much better than bios..
