What Media to USE???
 

I have a DRU-500a so I can use either +R/RW or -R/RW. Is there a difference? I have read conflicting reports saying one is better than the other so if anyone has used +R successfully please reply. I also would like to know if +RWs can be used since I have never backed up any PS2 games before and don't want to waste a bunch of DISCs getting it right.

Either media would work but -R media is cheaper. I use Princo brand discs for all my back ups and recordnow max 4.5 for software. http://rima.com is where I get the princos from. Hope this was helpful. PM or e-mail me w/ any more questions.

If you have a v5-v7 ps2 then dvd+rw should play fine. v1-v4 almost never does.
