i just bought my ps2 and i don't know which mod is the best and where can i find it:confused:

I would have to say that the messiah 2 is the best out there with the magic 3.1 a close second. The messiah 2 boots games and DVD9 just a little better than the magic 3.1. Actually the DVD9 is about the same. The messiah 2 boots EA games a bit better also. As far as where to get them, you can check my site out. Click the link below and e-mail me w/ any questions. It is a dual layered dvd. Most movies are dvd9 and there are several ps2 dvd9 games out with more soon to be coming. 99% of ps2 games are dvd5(single layer). Go with the Messiah 2.

the magic 3.1 isnt 'close' to the messiah 2.

seems so, but its actually a quite bad mod. i wont elaborate since it will take too long. but reasearch it and you'll find the answer.

No Solder + Swap Magic = losers Mod...........

Messiah 2 = winners Mod.................

Send charlie_ps2 or dust2dust an email and they can provide the chip and installation for you.

There is NO WAY you can honestly compare a no solder mod/Magic Swap Discs to the Messiah 2......

The No Solder/Magic Swap Disc combo FIRST requires you to swap, SECOND does not boot everything (try dvd rips) and THIRD WILL NOT BOOT ALL GAMES (not counting dvd-rips).....

The Messiah 2 is BY FAR the best choice.....

have u read all the reports of the no solder ps2 going blank screen after few months??

Thats why you get somebody reliable to buy from. If this were purchased from dust2dust or charlie_ps2 he wouldn't be having this problem.;)

U is preachin to the converted. You'll never convince someone with a no swap chip that yours is better cos put simply it ain't.

Get a grip and get a messiah 2.

Takes me about 2 hours to install a messiah 2. I use an industrial surface mount microscope so never get the fitting wrong and out of 20 PS2's have never found a single problem with my chip fitting. Only probs have been with version 3 and 4 older lasers reading dvdr and that is easily fixed.
