eject fix evox version?

i was wondering what the difference was between the evoX dirvers "D.6 eject fix" and "v3.6 eject fix" and "V3.6"

do i need a specific one if i want to do a specific thing ?
do they all have the ybox fix and the color mod ?

what does the eject fix do and does it apply to me -- my xbox is a version 1 and i have a matrix chip - but i have not put in the bios b/c i don't want to screw it up ?

thanks for the info.

I think 3.6 eject fix is just the normal evox bios that could be used on the v2 xbox's, and Version d.6 is the same, but i think it has an in game reset. It might also look for evoxdash.xbe and nexgen.xbe, but I'm not sure.

thanks for the info.

i guess my real question is, with the xbox that i have will any of these bios screw up my machine. i.e. if i hit the "go live" and i do not have the ybox... then my Xbox is a paper weight right?

do you know of a program that will tell me what is in my bios version - or a web page for that matter.....

thanks again for the help.

hitting "go live" with the evolutionX dashboard set up will ruin your xbox, unless you have ybox or something like that. The ybox bios boots to evoxdash.xbe/yxboxdash.xbe, instead of xboxdash.xbe.

So, if you hit "go live", it will update the xboxdash.xbe and mess up your xbox. If you have ybox, it won't mess up because evolutionX isn't named xboxdash.xbe, it's named evoxdash.xbe/yxbosdash.xbe. Therefore, the evox dashboard isn't messed with.

Also, having those bios shouldn't mess up your xbox if you hit go live. Just don't replace the xboxdash.xbe with something else other thatn the original xbox dashboard.

However, if you modchip is on when you go live, you will be banned.
