are there any down sides to having the ybox bios as opposed to the evox replacin the xboxdash?

not really. The ybox bios are the same as any other bios. The only difference is that it checks for yxboxdash.xbe instead of xboxdash.xbe. But, there are many different ybox bios out, but none of them should be any different as to what it does.

its just more beneficial because of what it does with xbox live, right?

exactly. There is no reason to have the old hacked bios unless you can't update your chip.

so u suggest the ybox bios over over-writing the original?

when you say original, do you mean the modchip original, or the xbox onboard tsop original? I do suggest ybox over the modchip original, but highly appose it over the onboard bios in the xbox.

i meant evox but now that u mention it both is good, so i guess since theyres no downside to it, and i want evox, i might as well do it. thanks
