and what do i need for ps2 games with the Pioneer A05

The +R/+RW is just a different format.....

If you have the A05, you will need DVD-R or DVD-RW......

The A05 will NOT burn +R/+RW discs....

-R burners are much better as they do not have the compatability problems of +R burners.
