quall999's method is pretty good. but if u can getta copy of boXplorer, just copy that to your box and then its alot easier to get the games on your HDD

Accually, if you want to put it directly to the HDD without a PC, then get a copy of xbCopy or Xcommander. Those utilities copy the game directly from the dvd drive to the xbox hdd.

Well i actually have box explorer and hdd loader. In hdd loader there is an option to backup the disc in the dvd drive is this method the right one to use?

quall,

I want to copy my games unto the xbox HDD without the use of a PC.

Which of the programs mentioned here will do dat(best), and where can i get it?

There has been about 4 programs mentioned here and Im ?????

Summary: xbCopy or Xcommander ? ?

Quall999 21-01-2003 16:13

Well, the programs you use to copy directly from the xbox dvd to your HDD is either Xcommander, or xbCopy. You have 2 to choose from. Although, many people report xbcopy has alot of bugs, so I guess you should look for xcommander.

Also, you need to get Xcommander or xbcopy on your xbox hdd somehow. You can use boXplorer to do it, or FTP to your xbox and upload it. ftp is what i'd do.

Right so I will have to link the xbox up to the PC to FTP the program to xbox....

What leads do i require to do this ? can i use a standard FTP program, and just enter the ip address of the xbox?

Then after that its plain sailing !

Yes, any FTP program should for you, you can even use DOS if you want. I use WS_FTP Pro my self.

Just load up EvoX, go into Systems Utils > Settings > And your XBox's IP address will be right there.
