BIG BIG thankyou to all those that helped me to back up mafia
 

As some of you may well remember i have been trying to back mafia (wich has the "Safedisk ab v2.51 protection) for some time but even though clonecd with clonyxL reckond the copy was ok the install process allways got stuck on disk 2 and all ways in the same place.. Anyway i have now backed up Mafia and it works perfectly so this message was just to say thankyou to all of you who helped in my plight.. I belive the biggest difference came from using colnyXXL and not XL but this is a guess even though the results speak for them self..
I got the link for clonyxxL from "RINCEWIND THE WIZ". Also for every one else who has had trouble backing mafia up read the post titled "Clony XXL v2.0.0.6 unaficial english version quick question" and anyone else who uses clony to back there games up may find some rather intresting infomation wich was once again given by "RINCEWIND THE WIZ" so check his comments out in the above nammed post and there is also a link provided to D/L clonyXXL English version: I am very greatfull to all who helped.:D

I get a #3075 error when using the no-cd exe...
anyone have the same problem or know a way around it?

Do you OWN the game ? That 3075 error is a known warez problem.

If the warez maker can do the problem and have the error massage problem, maybe he can recreated the same problem. But I don't know...:rolleyes:

But dudes if U have the original CD don't back it up with CloneCD.
CloneCD have always problems with SafeDisc (most new ones). Use a tool to help CloneCD with that problems or download some drinks problems program :p (The people who are using the program, know what program I'm talking about :p) or use Blindwrite Tools or somthing. Just a program that's can read badsectors.

also i was extremly surprised to be able to run the game with out needing a nocd crack just the backed up disk 1 like when using the original. I also backed up the sum of all fears wich dosnt need a nocd crack so i am over the moon now being able to a 1.1 backup because of course i no longer need to get a updated nocd crack when i update my games in the future :D Also none of this would of been possable with out the infomation provided by "RINCEWIND THE WIZ" in a different post regarding clony so i am ONCE AGAIN thanking you for the time and effort you spent in you replie and previous replies as the same to everyone else who helped. you know who you are:cool:

Erm thanks for defending me Krondike :confused: but RincewindTheWizs replie wasnt directed @ me it was directed @ "acuradan69". Also i guess you understand why anyone would ask that question. In the past when i have been browsing the posts here i have (as i do regulary) seen some people asking for help backing up games and reciving loads of help,tips and advice, and in the end it has surfaced that the game they are trying to back up is a warez copy and all the time people spent trying to help was a compleate waste of their time. (and im not talking about the illegal sides of it as it has nothing to do with me what people get up to in there own home, im just on about the wasted time trying to back up a doddgy warez copy)

PS @ anyone who can answere this: I have searched and searched to find out if siedler has a new site but have not been able to find one. (all i have found are links to his breifcase wich i have trouble getting into most of the time). So if anyone can give his new site addresse assuming he has one i would be very very greatfull. :D Thanks!!
