i have a 30004-r ps2.tomorrow i will by a magic 2 pro.but i heard that for online games and for some games(sometimes kingdom hearth freezes) it is necessary to put a switch to the chip.but i can find magic chips where i live.do you advice messiah 2?
or should i wait for DMS3?

BG 19-01-2003 14:21

The Messiah 2 requires NO SWITCH........

The freezing problem and switch you are talking about is for the Magic 3 chips.....
It is a fault in the Magic 3 chips....(Hopefully they fixed this in the new Magic 3.1)

The Messiah 2 does not have this problem....

I would stay away from the Magic line of chips and purchase a Messiah 2....

You can purchase one from Charlie_PS2 or Dust2Dust....

Is it like that BG or do we have to hold down the reset for 5 sec inorder to deactivate it ????

I am asking cause i read somewhere about doing that inorder to switching the machine into normal mode for online games...

correct me please..:)

BG 20-01-2003 09:28

You can deactivate the Messiah 2 BUT I play online games and have never had to deactivate mine....
