PS2 Ver.1 Help South FL.

I have a Version 1 PS2. Was wondering which chip should i get for direct swap. And if any knows of chip installers on the South Florida area? Any help please.

I would rec. getting the Messiah 2.....

Although, I would also rec. selling your version 1 and purchasing a new one BEFORE you mod......

The older version PS2's had crappy lasers, and if you were to mod it, you may find that it won't play DVD-R's......

I agree with BG. I was in the same situation as you are now. I had a v1 and wanted to get a mod. I sold my ps2 with 5 games I didn't play anymore for $285 on ebay. I got the $200 I needed for a new ps2 +$85 to go towards the chip and install. If you are unable to find an installer in Florida, send it to Bill at freedomlives.com. He is located just outside Chicago and does an unbelievable job.

Thanks for input guys. Ok I got my hands on a version 7 PS2 now.
What would be the best modchip for this version to direct boot. I am most likely gonna send my PS2 to FreedomLives. Has anyone sent there PS2 to freedomlives. Just looking for some feedback.

So the Messiah 2 it is!! Is the messiah 2 pro the same as messiah 2. Thanks for all the help just wanna make the right decision.

Yes.... The Messiah 2 Pro is basically the same chip...

The only difference is that the Pro version is designed to work in ALL consoles....

They do have Messiah 2's for individual consoles but its not worth the trouble.... Just get the Pro and you have nothing to worry about...

Contact Charlie_PS2 or Dust2Dust about the Messiah 2 Pro and they can set you up with it, no problem....:)
