GBA Save corruption

Does anybody have any ideas on why my save data keeps getting corrupted in Golden Sun? :(

I'm using a Flash Advance Xtreme USB with a 256 MBIT Xtreme flash card.

I've hunted round for information on patches, but it _does_ save most of the time so I'm not sure whether this is the right approach to the problem or not.

I think I need to learn more about how this hardware works, D'Oh! :)

Try reflashing - it may have not transferred properly that's all.

I wish it was that simple :)

I've tried reflashing using both USB and parallel connections and using the various pieces of software available.

I know the original cartridge used to corrupt data occasionally when the batteries started to fail in the GBA, maybe the flash cart draws more power?

I dunno really <g> I'm just clutching at straws!

Ah, well. Keep trying. If the original used to corrupt data then it is probably just a bug in the game. Anyway, keep trying - good luck...

I have the same hardware as you, and my backup of Golden Sun does the same thing... It'll save ok sometimes, but eventually it'll corrupt. And there's nothing more frustrating than losing RPG save games!

I have the same problem with Zelda Four sword (USA). I have a backup of my original game, but I cannot use any savegame !

It says "save is corrupted" !

Can I apply any patch ? Is there a solution ?

I have got a Flash2advance pack 256mo (pro).

And another question : How can i write a savegame to a cartridge ? With Flash2advance writer, i have to set the bank size...

Pls help-me ! :(
