burning 80 minutes cd's results in failures
 

Hello,

Can anybody give me a hint or even better a solution to the following problem?

When I burn a 80 minute cd-r with a ps2 game it fails.
When I burn a 74 cd-r with a ps2 game it works fine.

I have a ps2 (no-solder mod inside) all ps2 original en old psx originals are working. Old PSX backups are also working fine.
New PS2 backups on a 74 minute cd works fine.

BUT NO 80 MINUTES CD WILL WORK. :mad:

I used CDRWIN, NERO, CLoneCD.
For example when i use cdrwin there is only one track on the cd and this track can't be opened with isobuster.
If i take a look at a 74 min. cd burned under the same conditions I always am able to see what is inside the track.

ANYBODY PLEASE :confused:

Sounds like the 80min media is crap. Try using better media, If it works on a 74min cd-r then it will work on a 80min cd-r.

however, I tried two brands of 80 minutes.
Ofcourse they both could be crap.

I'm going to buy some more tomorrow (other brand)

Could it have something to do with DAO ? (NERO)
