no need for protec scanner anymore???

i have succesfulloy copied a few safedisc games without even checking them with clony xxl or nothing just insert disc and

select game cd on ccd 4.0 it has all options ticked

just wondering will having more options than necassary will do anything to games:confused:

A one click copy profile is what Olli (Clone CD) has been striving to make since the introduction of Clone CD 4. The copy you should not be affected by this as the majority of the options are in the reading of the disk - although the reading of the disk is generally slowed down when all options are ticked, especially subchannel data.
Some writers that have two-sheep in the Clone CD table may have problems when AWS is ticked during the write. A two-sheep burner doesn't need AWS and it can interfere with some writers.
Also, Clone CD cannot copy some of the latest copy protections with it's Game Profile - such as Securom 4.8. Alcohol is good for this, and with Alcohol's RMPS feature, more possibilities are unlocked.
Sometimes it is better to alter the options rather than use a single generic Game profile.

bin a while since ive bin on here but things still get sorted pretty fast

so wot games have that securom vers on them ???

gh0sth@cker 10-01-2003 11:40

Such games as Unreal Tournament 2003 and Hitman 2. There are many more - Unreal was one of the first games to have it, so later games that have Securom are impossible to copy 1:1
