need help with back up of ps2 cd game
 

i have ps2 v 7 with magic 3.this all impliees to cd games backups.i use to use cdrwin but nothing would boot at all.now i use clonecd and my ps2 backups load up but then frezzes.the game is top gun it gets though beginning screen of options.but then it frezzes at screen that says loading.i hear the ps2 unit humming for aboat 5 sec. then stop and it does this on and on.ps1 backups are fine so are ps2 originals except for vice city that frezzes after about 30 min . that happened about 2 out of 5 times of playing.this is my first chip install so im not sure if maybe i have a bridge?i have also heard magic 3 overheat so im wondering if i shopuld put some sort of heatshrink.the drive i have is lite-on ltr-24102b and the media is khypermedia cd-r multispeed 700 mb with gold colored bottom. any help input or sugg. would be greatly helpful.thanks

i think it may be a problem with the magic 3, other users have said that games freeze up.

I got a 3.5 and it does same thing, i think they needed to do more research than throw it out there like that... Im gonna rip mine out and do what I should have done, a messiah 2
