Bit wary about buyin a pre-modded Ps2
 

Has anybody here orderd a pre-modded PS2 from hull chipper. I want to order one, but im a bit reluctant to just pay some random guy i met on the net (no offence mate!) that kind of money.

I was gona order from someone else but the wanted me to send cash by insured mail, which as you can imagine im a bit wary about. I ideally want to pay on my credit card.

Does anyone here know anyone/where else i can get one from (im in the UK and want a messiah 2)

A lot of people tend to use charlie_ps2 or dust2dust from this forum who are respected members and i've never heard ANYTHING bad from either. And trust me! this would be the first place some1 would post!

Now I personally can't comment on Hull_chipper (sorry mate!) as i've never dealt with him and don't know anyone PERSONALLY that has. I doubt very much you're the first person that would be dealing with him from this forum but I can't comment although I can assure you though he knows his stuff.

Hull Chipper is OK - not that I've bought from him. But he does a lot of Magic 3s.

Very few of us like to take credit cards. Too much commission to pay out and a lot of setup hassle.

I've sold 2,000 Messiah 2s, more than 50% of them by Paypal (www.paypal.com) which takes low commission and the rest by bank transfer or cash in the post.

With Pre-mods, I take cheques because I don't release the PS2 until the cheque has cleared. If it bounces, there's always the next PS2.

Your apprehensions are understandable ADL. I would never disclose peeps details who I've dealt with in the past, but some have left their email in the guestbook on my website.

Thanx 4 the compliment Charlie, yes, I do mainly use Magic3's which, as ADL will tell you I have clearly disclosed. If somebody specifically requests Messiah2 (or any other mod for that matter) then thats what they get. There is a clear difference in boot-up procedures between Messiah2 and Magic3, so any man would know if you had been sold the magic3 instead. The neg vibes would then most certainly circulate these forums.

I have however come across a market trader fitting the Judas chip, claiming it to be Messiah2!
