dvd burners types
 

yesi was fixing to buy a hp i100 dvd burner dose it work good on copying dvd games or do i need to buy a cereten burner im going to buy a no solder v/5/6 mod chip i also seen in the fourms were Verbatim dvds r good to copy games on so if the dvds r good how about the Verbatim dvd burners cause that was my 2nd choice of burner

The +r format disks work well on V5, V6 and V7 machines although the -r disks generally are the better format to use. The popular recorders on this forum are the pioneer dvr-105 and the sony dru-500a, the sony burner does both formats. Not sure about the verbatim burner or the hp, don't know enough about them.

ok i got 1 v7 and 2 v6 ps2 as of now so thats not a prob
 

i was going to buy a no solder v5/6 mod chip from gamehacks.net for 20$ so what would be the best program and dvd dics to use if u know, for this type of mod chip so all i would need is a gameshark to swtich out the dvd copy with and could do u know if they made a v7 no sloder chip

pioneer or sony is your best bet

buy a no swap chip u soon get peed of with the no solder

messiah 2 is the best option for hassle free booting

i seen that chip but the price ouch and i seen about 13 wires to solder im scraed to solder 1 wire mods like neo key that looks hard to do i got a gs 2.0 alrdy so thats no prob and i got a psx with a boot disk and i never much minded the xchange part any way and could u tell me a link for a good guide on brun games step by step and wot programs to use

when it says 15.15$ in uk is that 15.15 in us money or uk money and will it cost more in american then uk and could u tell me how long it usely takes to ship here from uk thnx

$15.15 is about £10 but I dont know about the shipping

I have got a V4 no solder chip its OK but it wont play DVD rips and some imports to messiah is the best to get if you can get someone to fit it

Yes they have, some people claim the v5/6 no solder works fine.
I've got v7 no solder from www.easybuy2000.com which works fine.

But beware, if you have a v7 machine you CANNOT use the gameshark/action replay 2 to do the dvdr swap. The version 7s know that the drive is fooled.
The only way to boot dvdrs is using the swap magic 2 discs.
And these have limitations to which games can be booted. Look for my previous post named something like nosolder ver 7 swap magic.

i got a 30001 r and a 39001 so i can just mod the 30001r with no sodler vr 5/6 mod

Personally, i'd get a messiah2 installed in the version 7. Then that'l be the daddy of your ps2 family!!!
