Capacitor fix for skipping dvds - need help
 

I read the factoid by charlie ps2 on the various issues for the chips and saw something about dvd skipping - a problem i have on both movies and games. However, I have a magic 3 (not a magic 2 or messiah) installed on a US V4 GAP. Is the fix the same (1uf 35v polarized capacitor on the S/SCEX line)? If it is, can someone tell me which wire/pin on the magic3 (or wherever it is) is the S/SCEX line? When I installed it, there was no pin designated as "S/SCEX", only letters A-W (minus a few),gnd,+5V and reset. Any help greatly appreciated!

The capacitor would go anywhere on the "S" line, however I don't think this is going to fix your problem. You might have a faulty chip.

I have a matrix 2 in my V6 board, the only time I have this problem is when I play a DVD movie, also the demos that are DVD's come with the same problem. But I tried it on my Tokyo Racers game, it has a DVD preview of The fast & the Furious and it played fine.
I have not tried the capacitor fix yet but if anyone has more input on this, we would greatly appreciate it.
