DvdxCopy problem
Hi, I've been using dvdxcopy for a while now and it's great for copying movies, but they only seem to work on my ps2 and my pc. I've tried it on my dvd player and the screen says that it's loading, but it never loads. My dvd player is a Cyberhome dvd player. On the box it says it plays dvd+r, but whenever i put one of my dvd+rs in it doesn't play. I use a memorex dvd+R/rw to make my movies. Is there something I could do to make it work on my dvd player?

dude
first try a different brand of dvd+r i have encountered several dvd players which say they are dvd-r or dvd+r compattible but are very picky with which dvd-r / dvd+r they accept. |

according to the tutorial given with dvdxcopy you can try this. click on the advanced options tab there are 2 small buttons under the heading player compatibility 1 standard (iso/udf) 2 alternate (udf). change to the other one of these that is already selected. my home dvd players prefer the alternate setting. |
DVD Player
I had exacly the same problem.
THE ANSWER IS: TRY DIFFRENT DVD Media & Do exacly what DUDE says, but the option I use is STANDARD (ISO/UDF) in advance settings option of DVDXCOPY 1.3 !!! Try both of the options and find out which option is the best for you DVD Player. (If you have a lot of spare discs) TRAXDATA IS THE BEST IT ALWAYS WORKS..... |
Experiment with some -rw or +rw until you figure out which settings work best for your player.

The udf modes are either 1.02 which is usually compatable with most dvd players and udf 1.05 which is more likely to be recognized by the newer dvd players.
Like the others have said if one doesn't work the other should and ditto goes for the media. |
