with modchip.com in ps2 do I have to patch import ###ne backups?

I just installed my modchip.com chip in my ntsc ps2, and was wondering if I still needed to patch my Jap import games?

Not so far as I know. I have a Jap PS2 and the import (PAL) PS games play fine without patch. So you are in a parallel situation.

Have you tried it?

ps1 import games will have to patched
well on my pal mc they do
