Neo Premium Dvdr 4.7gb

Hey,

This DVD-R is being raved about all over the web. I just wondered if anyone has tested them and if they are the ones i should get to make dvd-backups. Apprently they are the best for backing up ps2 games and movies and they play on most without failure. Can anyone confirm they are as good as they have been made out to be?

Thanks

Jonny

I have never used that certain brand. I can tell you that the new Ritek DVD-R's are flawless..... They work in EVERYTHING I throw them at.... They use the same dye as Traxdata and can be easily had in the US....

Are Ritek cheap? Where do you buy them?

Thanks!

Chris

RITEK IS THE DYE USED IN THE DISKS
THERE ARE A LOT OF RITEK DYE DISKS ON THE MARKET
I HAVE USED NEO DISKS ( NEVER LOST A DISK WRITING AT 2X )
4X WRITE DISKS ARE TAKING OVER THE DISK SCENE AND PRICES MY AREA RANGE FROM £19.00 PER 10 TO £30.00 PER 10
SOME CHEAPER 1X WRITES £22.00 PER 25

MY LIMITED EXPERIENCE IN DVDS HAVE BEEN DARK DYE DISKS WORK THE BEST

Ritek is the brand of the disc. They sell different quality discs. When we recommend Ritek, we are recommending the ones with the dark purple dye. 4x media wont take over until they lower their prices. They are still too expensive.

Ritek is the BRAND NAME.... Not the dye......

Ritek manufactures ALOT of discs......(Under different names)

@ Chrispj09****The ones you want are the deep purple bottoms.....

I buy all of mine from a specific seller on ebay.....

I can purchase a 100 disc spindle for about $89.00 US dollars....

EDIT: Damn.... Bighap.... You beat me too it.....LOL :p

Sorry BG, but it's good to hear it from more than one person for validity.:) I buy from the same guy as recommended by BG. It's actually $101 after shipping;)

JUST GOES TO SHOW THE CRAP YOU GET TOLD WHEN YOU PURCHASE YOUR DISKS AT A COMPUTER FAIR

AS MY PREVIOUS REPLY SAID MY LIMITED EXPERIENCE

I HAVE HAD A FEW DIFFERENT NAMED BRANDS

NEO2X INFINITI1X VERBATUM2X & DISKRITE2X ALL HAVE HAD THE SAME COLOUR DYE AND BEING SOLD UNDER RITEK DYE

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE WRITING SPEED 1X 2X I HAVE NOT TRIED ANY 4X YET

I DON'T KNOW IF RITEK IS MANUFACTURING ALL OF THESE BRANDS BUT I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL WITH ALL OF THE ABOVE

DragoNstylz 08-02-2003 10:58

bighap...who can you give us some more info on the guy ur getting the disc from?

bighap 08-02-2003 12:43

His ebay user name is prestoshoppercom
He has Ritek dvds on all the time and in large quantities so you don't have to worry about bidding wars. Oh crap, just saw he has raised his 100 pack price by $10. I think I'll be buying from rima.com now. They also sell the good dark purple Ritek. Works out to be about $15 cheaper per 100 pack there.

cheaper plus free shipping

cheaper plus free shipping @ http://store.yahoo.com/cdrdvdrmedia/index.html
$92.00 per pack

xcrose 17-02-2003 01:30

clicked the yahoo link, but price was $1.01 for 100 pk. Must have been a weekly special.
http://www.shop4tech.com/user.htm
also has them for 1.01 per 100 pk w/free shipping.
I had good experience with this company. Bought 50 pk of bad leda's. They took 45 unused and my word that I had 5 coasters. They paid for return shipping and offered full refund. I took the credit instead and placed it toward Ritek and have been using them ever since.

dude2 17-02-2003 10:36

where can you get ritek in the uk?

bighap 17-02-2003 10:48

If you are in the UK, get Traxdata.
