ps2 modem change from ps2 to other ps2?

i heard that after i install the network adaptor on a ps2 i can never use it on other ps2..
is that true?

cause i am planning on changing my ps2

no it'll work fine you'll just have to erase the setup info from your memory card and re set it up on your new ps2
