Help Selecting A Mod-chip
 

I have a V1 ps2 and a DRX500UL burner. I currently have no mod-chip. I have a gameshark version 2.0. Which mod-chip should I get? I want one that I don’t have to solder preferably one that’s external. I would also like one where I don’t have to swap every time I want to play a backup. I’d appreciate any help.

There are no mods that are external no solder no swap mods. The best no swap mod is the Messiah 2. If I were you, I would get a new PS2 as well. The v1 lasers suck. In that case I would buy a new PS2 modded with a Messiah 2. If this sounds like somthing your interested in, contact charlie_ps2 or dust2dust.

if i get a ps2 with the Messiah 2 will i have to patch games before i burn them?
