Help Please
 

I have a V1 ps2 and a DRX500UL burner. I currently have no mod-chip. I have a gameshark version 2.0 and I need help with the swap trick. What has happened so far: I burned a copy of NCAA 2003 successfully using the RECORD NOW MAX method in these forums. I start the ps2 up with the gameshark cd in. I select start game without codes. I then open the tray using the cog method. Now this is the part where I’m not sure what to do. I put the copy in, slide the tray all the way back in then I press eject and then X. Then it just stays on the screen where it tells me to insert the game and press X. When I try to do this with an original copy of a game it does the same thing so I think I’m not swapping them right. I’d appreciate any help.

i'm pretty sure you still need a modchip to play a backup even with the gameshark. did you look at the sticky above?

Yes you need a mod.
