is my magic 3 a clone?
 

i got my magic 3 from modchip.com . it is blue with a little smiley face on it, and says MAGIC III. how do i tell if it's a clone?

yup. this is one they list as fake. its the blue one that looks real. right by the word fake on that link. would it be stupid to install this?

The Magic 3 that is real on that page is actually the Magic 3.1. They are now selling the Magic 3.1. The difference between the 3 and 3.1 is the V1-V7 on the black chip. You might have to check somewhere else to see if ur Magic 3 is the real one.

ill just try and see if it works. i should have it in next week. ill post with my results.

seems like the magic3 has issues. im going to get more info before i install it. i may not istall it at all.
