DVD playback choppy on Magic 3
 

I have a magic 3 in a v4-gap US ps2. Cdr games play fine, havent tested DVD-r games, but DVD playback is choppy. I saw something on here about soldiering a capacitor to one of the points to remedy the problem, but this was on a magic 2. I wondering if I have to do something simliliar as described in the sticky by charlie_ps2 and if it differs on the magic 3. Any help greatly appreciated.
