Concern about Boot Magic/No Solder Mod
 

Hi all,

I am about to do my first mod on my PS2.

I was reading posts here to make sure I am prepared, and I came across a post that said that Boot Magic and the no solder mod will not work with recent games. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not?

The boot magic disc does have problems with some games. Its better to get AR2 or GS2 along with a hi toc dvd original.better yet get a messiah or a magic3 chip. it costs about the same :)

Ahhh... darn. Hmmm... any idea what games don't work?

Also, if I got a Game Shark instead, would it work with every game? Or does it have the same problem?

Btw... I know it stupid to be using a no swap mod, but I've NEVER soldered ANYTHING before, so if I tried to use a superior mod I would more than likely end up killing my PS2.

You can def find installers that will do the job for what it costs to buy a no-solder mod & boot disc! Hunt around all the forums & I guarantee you will find somebody local.
